Delheim Estate on the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch will be celebrating the 2026 wine harvest with a weekend of diverse events appealing to an array of wine and food lovers wishing to get into the spirit of the new season’s harvest. Three days – Friday 30 and Saturday 31 January, as well as Sunday February 1 have been set aside for welcoming visitors on this estate and sharing the annual spirit of the new harvest season.

This year’s Delheim harvest activities kick-off on Friday 30 January with a Sunset Harvest Table set among the farm’s scenic vineyards where guests will join the Delheim proprietors and winemaking team for an al fresco feast of food and wine.

With the sun due to set to the west in full view of the Harvest Table at 19.30, guests will be seated at the long lavish table at 18.30 where they will be welcomed with live music entertainment, Delheim wines and, of course, the Delheim team. A three-course meal will be served, together with selected Delheim wines sourced by proprietors Victor Sperling and Nora Thiel.

Spaces are limited to 70 guests. Arrival time is 18.30 and the event will continue to 21.00. Price per person is R950 and is all inclusive.

Delheim’s Harvest Market Day will be held on 31 January and will allow the public to enjoy the day among the farm’s vineyards, picking grapes, stomping the bunches in barrels and generally experiencing harvest season on a working wine farm. Live music will add tune and spirit, and the Delheim boules court will be open for the more competitively spirited. Delheim wines and a variety of food-stalls will be open where purchases can be made for nourishing the body and soul while drinking in the life-affirming atmosphere of harvest-time in the winelands.

Spaces are limited to 180 persons and entry is R200 for adults and children. Gates open at 10.00 and the event will continue until 13.00.

The Delheim Harvest Festival Family Day takes place on Sunday 1 February, and has over the years become known as one of the leading harvest-season events in the Cape winelands. This is traditionally one of the first harvest festivals in Stellenbosch, bringing families together for a day of fun, food, and Delheim wine and celebrating with the Delheim harvest team.

The event is brim-full of activities including grape-stomping in the old oak vats, cellar tours and tractor rides allowing guests to take-in the majestic beauty of Delheim Estate. The morning activities are followed by a delicious seasonal lunch spread where a range of the estate’s wine can be enjoyed, with live music accompanying the enjoyment of traditional Delheim hospitality.

Sunday’s Harvest Festival kicks off at 10.00 on Delheim Estate. Price: Adults (R950) and children under 12 (R350). Spaces are limited to 130 persons.
